Caney River House
Worrell Yeung designed this home for a couple in Oklahoma adjacent to the Caney River. The goal for these empty nester clients was to create a modest and simple single-level house that would allow them to live in a modern and efficient layout that was still generous in space. Formally the house is composed of two interlocking volumes. From the street side, the wood clad house is veiled with mostly solid walls punctuated by a few calibrated windows that focus on key landscape elements. In the back, the walls are mostly glazed maximizing the expansive views of the wooded landscape beyond.
